These are the terms of use that apply to any 3D model you purchase via cgpersonas.com, in addition to our Terms of Service. They are similar to the Royalty-Free / Standard licenses common on CGTrader, Fab, and TurboSquid.
What you can do
Use the model in your own end products: games, films, animations, renders, VR/AR applications, archviz, etc. Adapt, re-texture or combine the model with other assets for your own project. Use the model in both personal and commercial projects (this includes products you sell or earn money from) - as long as you do not resell the model itself as a standalone file (see below). Use the model in an unlimited number of your own end products, without additional costs per project.
What you cannot do
Resell, give away, rent, sublicense or redistribute the model file itself (original or slightly adapted) as a standalone file or standalone digital asset - through another marketplace, asset store, NFT platform, or otherwise. Use the model to create a competing model/asset product that is essentially the same model. Claim that you created the model yourself or claim copyright on it. Use the model for content that is unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise infringing.
Ownership
Patrick Goud / CGPersonas remains the copyright holder of the model. You purchase a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual use license - not ownership of the model or the underlying intellectual property. Because the license is non-exclusive, the same model may also be sold to other customers.
Origin of the models
Our models are optimized and, where relevant, processed with AI support (polycount, retopology, textures, scale). See the product description for each model for specific details.
No warranty
Models are provided "as is". We do our best to avoid technical errors; see our Return and Refund Policy for what to do in case of a defective file.
